Agreement to Sell MPC Kinetic to GenusPlus Group

Brisbane, Australia – May 2026 – SCF Partners is pleased to announce its agreement to sell MPC Kinetic (“MPK”) to GenusPlus Group (“Genus”). 

Created in 2018, through the merger of Kinetic Energy Services and MPC, MPK is a is a leading provider of gas gathering and well maintenance services to Tier 1 customers in the Queensland onshore gas sector, as well as construction services for renewable energy and major pipeline projects in Australia. Genus is an ASX-listed specialist power and communications infrastructure and services provider operating across Australia. With Genus’ support MPK will be ideally positioned to continue delivering and maintaining critical gas infrastructure and building the renewable generation infrastructure to support Australia’s energy transition. Under the agreed acquisition the MPK team will transition across to Genus and MPK will continue to be led by CEO, Adam Machon.

The agreed transaction is at a headline valuation of A$400 million and remains subject to customary conditions. Headquartered in Brisbane, Australia, MPK is included in SCF’s portfolio of Fund VII and VIII investments.
